I totally love this little caravan site. It's still a work in progress because they are still making it bigger and better but we have our caravan on a service pitch so we don't have to keep going for water. It has a toilet block and now a shower block as well. We came last year and they never had that. It doesn't have any playgrounds for children but a big field they can play on and there is know way they can get lost. The owner is lovely and very friendly. Always asking if we need anything. And the price is great value as well.
Total respect to James & Rachel for what they have done here, this little site is exquisite. As a club member my wife and I always try to stick to certified locations rather than the commercial sites and have never found facilities like this on a site of this type before now. The fully serviced pitches are fantastic, wifi which actually works, toilets which are kept clean and tidy and the shower "pods" which are best we've seen.Almost don't want to tell anybody else about this place so we can keep it for ourselves!!If you're looking for a quiet campsite to explore Cornwall from, then you'll struggle to do better than Higher Lanhainsworth!Thanks for brilliant holiday, can't wait to meet up again next year. Easily the best Certified Site we have ever stayed on, and in 20+ years of caravanning that's saying something. Site is small and beautifully kept, not over run with kids. When staying here it is easy to forget that it's actually a non commercial site, it has more going for it than most of the big commercial sites we sometimes stay on. James and Rachel are excellent hosts, checking the place several times a day, always time to stop and chat and recommend places to go and see. Nothing is too much trouble, even when we needed more gas, they are calor agents and delivered a replacement bottle to our pitch.The caravan pitches are all EHU+ with full tap and drain and both sat and TV connection, there is also excellent wifi across the site. We paid 13 per night for the 2 of us which included everything except the wifi which was 10 for a massive 15Gig which we didn't even use all of in the time we stayed.Loads of stuff close by, lovely little town with great shops, pubs and takeaways, easy leisurely walk. We chose the site because it was near Padstow and stayed for nearly 2 weeks and will be booking next years return trip soon. Thanks James and Rachel for a great stay, you truly are an asset to the camping and caravan club.
